Every 1st and 3rd Saturdays we are blessed to have the High River Farmer’s Market in town. Now if you’re a mom like me, you love the great variety of fresh, delicious food that they have available. I love being able to fix the best of the local products for my guys. Fruits and Veggies are just the tip of the iceberg. There are various food and craft vendors that make the Farmer’s Market not just a place to shop, but a complete experience. So many of you may ask why I love the Farmer’s Market? Here’s why:
Fresh Local Grown Produce and Meats – High River is already a great place, so getting the best food that is grown in the area makes sense for me and my family. The Farmer’s Market always pushes for the people to get to know the grower or provider. I love hearing the stories of the milk farmer who sings to his cows, the breadmaker who has a unique story for each type of bread he makes, and the candle maker who names his scents after movie stars from Canada.
I love the all of the prepared food that is available as well. The High River Farmer’s Market has done a great job of utilizing local vendors that use only local products in what they make. I appreciate those businesses that go an extra mile to make sure the food is great.
I also love the non food items that the Farmer’s Market sells. Everything from quilts, candles, pottery, organic chairs, starter plants and so much more. I know that when I go to the Farmer’s Market that I have a chance to find an item that is not available anywhere else.
Lastly I love how fun it is. With all the boy stuff I do, from soccer, basketball, hockey, football, volleyball, etc., I like having something that I can enjoy that the kids like going to as well. Many of you know that I like nothing more than being with my boys, so this is my time for the four of us to really be together. So if you get the chance please check them out, you’ll get to love it just like we do.
